May is the peak season for Wilson’s Phalarope at Village Creek drying beds, Arlington Texas. They feed in large group and rather tame, getting in close distance is not a hard task but in flight is always a challenge for any fast shorebirds. Here’s one female Wilson’s Phalarope near landing pose, note the wing is tipping the water.
