Great Horned Owl – Tarrant County, Texas

I’ve been tracking several great horned owl nests in DFW area and this is the first adult i managed to get a perch shot in an open – without branches and twigs in the way. It’s so late in the season, so this is likely the last of it. Well, that’s always next year!

The sun just rose, you can see brighter leaves behind but too bad she took off after the shot and that kept me wondering would be like another 5 minutes more?
