Killdeer Chick on the run

While visiting the Mississippi Kite’s nesting at Dalworthington Gardens, i can’t help but notice a pair of screaming Killdeer on the pond shoreline and there’s a little one the move!

Hey, we got a chick here.

That tiny guy is quick a runner, it wouldn’t freeze for a second and would move in fast pace on anything that come close with 20 feet.

Change of plan.

So instead of a casual low angle of the chick. Let’s try an action shot instead. I got many keepers out of the series but it’s not as easy as it looks. Low angle and handheld a 700mm after this guy is hard but the result is rewarding!
