Loggerhead Shrike on a perch

A Loggerhead Shrike perched on a tip of tree at Los colinas near Riverside Dr. It’s a new found location with excellent background separation and not much traffic. Light is great in the morning too. I plan to set up a hide somewhere in near future as it’s an open area with some shooting distance. This one is taken with 2x III wide open.

Note. Loggerhead Shrike is not a raptor but a predatory songbird hunts on small insects, lizards and other small animals.
