Red-winged Blackbirds do not inflate any parts of their body, especially the neck anytime of the season so i’m sure this male RWBB is deformed or having a throat tumor. He can call, eat and defend its territory just fine but the tone is slightly harsh. You can find this guy early in the morning at Winfrey Point white rock lake next to the ball park.
