Being the largest bird in North America and a slow flyer, it’s very easy to track the American White Pelican in flight. I have taken thousands of them but this one is my favorite with better pose, and both feet and wing in visibility. We have plenty of wintering pelicans at white rock lake but Denison / Lake Texoma Dam is my preferred location due to the pleasant background.
