Fledgling Barred Owl – White Rock Lake, Dallas Texas

Post on April 9, 2014 Barred Owl Owl BirdsRaptor

The Barred Owlet at White Rock lake has out of its nest, fled Apr 8th and i missed out the branching process! By evening it has back its way up to a tree for shelter, and the light was brilliant after a whole week of terrible weather.

This year there’s at least two in the hole, the younger looks about 3-4 days older and just shown its face near dusk. The parent were feeding the fledgling owlet near dark.
