Male Prothonotary Warbler – Fort Worth Nature Center

A friend recently took good images of Prothonotary Warbler at Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary and Fort Worth Nature Center and was very kind to inform me the locations where to locate the brilliant yellow-orange Warbler.

The first venture at Heard was a disappointment, i can’t even get a vocal of the bird but Fort Worth was a success.

There’s a breeding pair of resident Prothonotary Warbler at FWNC. They hang at the end of “U” section of boardwalk marsh area. Immediately i heard the proud bird singing loud and clear the minute i set foot on the platform – not a hard bird to find.

The male was presented the entire morning during my visit and i only saw the female for a short duration.
