Breeding Drake Northern Shoveler – Low Angle

Had a great session with dozen or so Shovelers on a calm morning. The topic of the day was Low angle wing flap, while i got handful of those but could not obtain one in better isolation and clean background except this. No, it’s a wing flap but that water droplet on the bill adds sense of action to the image.

To get lowest possible ground contact, i used a rather unconventional support – an inch thick hunting foam seat as cushion to get that low level sweetness.
