Female Wilson’s Phalarope in Flight at Village Creek – Arlington, Texas

Post on May 12, 2013 Wilson's Phalarope BirdsShorebird

May is the peak season for Wilson’s Phalarope at Village Creek drying beds, Arlington Texas. They feed in large group and rather tame, getting in close distance is not a hard task but in flight is always a challenge for any fast shorebirds. Here’s one female Wilson’s Phalarope near landing pose, note the wing is tipping the water.
