American Coot in Flight

Stop by White Rock lake on Christmas Eve evening and watched the coots getting up and down on the bank of sunset bay about 3 feet high repeatedly. Bingo! I took advantage of situation and got the easiest Coot in flight i’ve longed for. Just sat there and squeeze the trigger when the “wildecoot” jump off. Three keepers out of the evening and this coot airborne is best of the series showing off a pair of lobed feet in plain sight.
