Mute Swan Family – Cygnet piggyback ride

It’s common for swans to carry their sidling on the back, that usually happens when the cygnets are days old. The new born are lazy and tend to hitch a ride on mummy express. But this is the first time in many years I witnessed and photographed the most precious moment of the mute swan family at Carrollton Texas, at the right time and shooting distance. It was the year of 2012, they hatched 6 cygnets but sadly, none survived.
