Ring-necked Duck in Flight

We get small number of wintering Ring-necked Duck in North Dallas area but this is the first time i managed to get one in flight.

I found about a dozen or so, mainly drake in the neighborhood pond at Winn park on my way home. They are skittish but it’s relatively small size pond so getting close to them is no trouble at all. I could have lay there and get low angle shots all morning but the “BIF-blood” in me couldn’t help but went for the flyer.

May be next time.
